1950s Flying Ducks Enamel Compact By Stratton of London
For sale is a splendid mirror powder compact by Stratton of England. The compact has the most beautiful electric blue enamel image on the top depicting flying ducks. The compact comes complete with velvet protection pouch. A marvelous hand bag accessory. Condition: Excellent – like new.
Dimensions: 7.2cm x 7.2cm
Stratton powder compacts were designed and produced in Birmingham by Laughton & Sons Ltd. from 1923. Some of the earliest Stratton compacts were signed Stratnoid. Several of their factories were destroyed in the second World War but they were in production again by 1946. The peak of powder make up and the use of powder compacts was during the 1950s.
