Minton Ltd was an English ceramics company founded by Thomas Minton (1765-1836) in Stoke-upon-Trent in Staffordshire, England. At the Great Exhibition of 1851 Minton launched his successful majolica range. Majolica is a type of heavy glaze pottery using bright colours.
You are viewing a wonderful pair of English porcelain squirrel planters in the Minton manner. They are majolica porcelain with it’s distinctive colourful glaze. Perhaps the most distinctive feature is the pair of gorgeous squirrels to either side of the urns.
