French Bronze Lion Kill Statue Signed Barye Snake Statue

– Gorgeous casting of the famous lion killing snake statue by Antoine-Louis Barye
– Such a classic work, really shows Barye’s talent at capturing the energy of these animal scenes
– This is a later recasting from the original and is signed on the base made using the lost wax process
– Patina to the bronze is superb, just look at the colour and finish
– Stands on the black marble base which is smooth and chip free
– We purchased this from a dealer on Rue De Rossiers at the Paris antiques market
