French Classical Painted Cabinet Sideboard Server
– Gorgeous French neo-classical sideboard or cabinet
– Great look to this with painted finish in off white cream
– This in turn has been pained on and the hand painted details are very intricate including musical
instruments, classical garlands and floral motifs
– At further points certain sections have been gilded, including rosettes and the fluted feet and columns
– Painted furniture was very popular in the 1800s as a change from the darker woods and the look has endured
– It’s a big piece at almost six feet long so ample storage
– We purchased this from a dealer on March Biron at the Paris antiques markets
