You are viewing a spectacular art deco bronze sculpture of a lady and two borzoi dogs. The piece is signed Poertzel on the base. Poertzel was born at Scheibe on 24th October 1876, he became one of the most prominent art deco sculptors and this, the ‘Aristocrats’ is one of his most famous works. This would be a later casting from the original with some age.

English Abbey Oak Rustic Refectory Table
You are viewing a gorgeous oak refectory table hand crafted from the finest oak. You don’t get tables more sturdy than this which makes them the perfect kitchen table, although they are also suitable as dining tables. I hope the photos do this amazing piece some justice, they don’t come much more solid and chunky than this, check out the think legs
They have something of the castle look about them and this is where they get their name – refectory – which refers to the type of tables used in convents, monasterys or colleges. You can just imagine a group of monks sitting around it drinking trappist ale!
The table can sit six more than easily, 8 comfortably and ten at a slight squeeze. It is a chunky piece and has lovely bulbous legs. The wood has a lovely shiny brown patina to it and this has just had a repolish at the restorers so it’s ready for home use immediately.

English Gothic Mirror Architectural Mirrors Gothik
This is the interiror designers dream. A hand carved gilt wood six panelled Gothich mirror in the English style. Hung on the right wall and in the appropriate room this would look amazing as part of an eclectic look.
The piece has a religious air to it with the five steeples ornately edged with guilt wood, next to this the six black columns topped with the pointed gilt wood spires. It would make any room look bigger. We love this piece and are expecting a lot of interest so get your enquiries in now. We bought this from the Newark antiques fair and do not know anything of its previous incarnations or history.
