– Classic art deco style bronze statue showing a lithe female hoop dancer
– Piece is signed Colinet on the base and this is a later recast from the original
– Piece somehow embodies the 1920s aesthetic of the ideal female form
– Stands on the marble base which is smooth and chip free
– Colinet was a famous deco sculpturist working out of Paris in the 1920s

– This is a later recasting from the original and is signed Chiparus on the base
– DH Chiparus was of course one of the most famous artists working out of the 1920s and his statues have come to define the epoch
