French Boulle Writing Desk Table Bureau Plat Ormolu Kingwood

– Exquisite French Empire style writing table or desk in kingwood
– Classic Empire style with distinctive Boulle inlay
– Charles Andre Boulle was renowned for his trademark style of inlay using brass overlaid over the wood
– Desk has been constructed from kingwood and is very sturdy and solid
– My photographer neglected to fully wipe down the desk before photos, any marks are dust, the desk is in wonderful condition with a great finish
– Three drawers to the front open out smoothly to reveal ample storage
– Great piece for a home office set up
– Ormolu fixtures are original and feature maiden heads on leg tops, handles and trim

– One of the things that attracted us to this desk was it’s big size – 6 feet wide
– Charles Andre Boulle was renowned for his trademark style of inlay using brass overlaid over the ebony and red tort
– The size makes it good for a home office set up as big working space perfect to accomodate laptops, tablets, monitors and eveything else to stay in touch!
– Three big drawers to the front so ample storage
– Ormolu fixtures are bright and well cast and original to desk
– Red tooled leather writing surface in great shape

Pair French Louis Philippe Kidney Side Table Nightstands Bedside Chests

You are viewing a magnificent pair of French Louis Philippe style side tables (or nightstands) in mahogany. I hope the photos do this lovely pair some justice, they are certainly better in the flesh. Each table has three drawers so there is ample storage space. Each drawer pulls out smoothly and you can see they are curved at the front echoing the lovely kidney bean shape of the table when seen from above. This is no mean feat to achieve in terms of carpentry and cabinet making.

The tables have been hand crafted from the finest kingwood and feature walnut inlay to the sides and top. The tables also feature gorgeous intricately cast ormolu fittings including the handles, the cartouche to the top of the legs and the foot protectors
