Circa 1860 Although these chairs are upholstered in the same fabric they are slightly different (see Legs) The chairs stand upon ring-turned front legs, which adds a decorative element to the chairs. Additionally, the front legs have original castors, The back legs of the chairs being of a shaped form. The chairs are upholstered using a deep buttoned method. This technique involves creating deep, tufted buttons on the upholstery by pulling the fabric inward and securing it with stitching or buttons.
