– Gorgeous French bronze horse statue which has been silver plated
– Original horse believed to be by famous French sculpturist PJ Mene and this is a later recasting from the original
– PJ Mene was famouse for his selection of bronze animals, predominantly horses
– Think this looks great with silver plate finish really makes it stand out
– Stands on the black marble base which is smooth and chip free
– Purchased from a dealer at Les Puces antiques market in Paris

– You are viewing a wonderful bronze casting showing a man walking his dog
– The piece is by PJ Mene and this is a later recasting from the original
– Pierre Jules Mene (1810-1877) was the most prolific animal sculptor of his time and worked in Paris, France
– He was famous for his naturalistic representations of all creatures from the animal kingdom, particularly with horses as can be seen here
– This is a later recasting from the original
– Mene has really caught the beauty and poise to the scene with great skill. Check out details like the muscletone to the dog
