You are viewing an impressive pair of nearly lifesize English bronze lions. I hope the photos do this stunning pair some justice, they\’re certainly more impressive in the flesh. The lions remind us of the famous ones found in Trafalgar square by Edward Landseer.
The casting is of the highest quality and the patina to the bronze has a lovely dark nutty brown finish to it. Details like the mane are particularly worthy of detail, as the lions locks flow. The face is also very expressionistic and the artist has really caught the creatures character and power with skill.
These would make a great decorative piece for your home or garden. Being bronze these would of course be able to live outside with no fear of rusting and would make excellent gatekeepers either side of your driveway or entrance. They are both offered in perfect condition ready for use right away.

You are viewing a gorgeous American art nouveau style bronze casting of the famous hoop girl by Paul Manship. The bronze has a silver finish and is offered in great shape, standing on the marble base. We will ship to anywhere in the world.
This piece is modelled on the original by the famous American artist Paul Manship who worked in the 1920s and 30s and has works on display at the Rockerfeller Centre in NYC. There is re-cast enlargement of this work (standing in at over 12 feet tall) at Hofstra University in Long Island.

You are viewing an amazing brown bronze bust showing a male head who’s hair fans out at the back into a wing. In tune with art decos preoccupation with aerodynamism and its particular take on perceptions of modernity, the figure looks like he could be in a wind tunnel. The piece is the epitome of art deco style and elegance and would make a great addition to any home collection.
It reminds me of a mascot you might find on the front of a car, like Sykes’s famous Silver Spirit found on Rolls Royce’s hoods. It would make for a really quirky decorative collectors piece for your home.
The piece is a re-casting of the famous Victoire R Lalique statue. The piece sits firmly on a black marble base which has been polished and so is smooth to touch. The patina to the bronze is also smooth to touch.

The piece is signed Descomps on the base and this is a later recasting from the original.
The female is in typical 1920s dress – somehow she manages to embody the deco aesthetic with her carefree pose and flapping dress. The bronze is offered in great shape and we will ship to anywhere in the world. We bought this from Les Puces flea market whilst on a recent French buying trip to Paris.

I hope you agree how it somehow epitomises the art deco aesthetic, as the girl drapes herself seductively over the light box with drapes. She wears a characteristic 20s hat as he head is cocked to one side. She stands on the tired base, another deco motif.
This really is a stylish collectable piece and in the right location this would be the talking point of any collection. This is a light and is wired for use in the US – it lets out a really atmospheric glow from the light box. I’ve shown some examples of how it looks in the pictures. It even has two settings for different lighting. I have also included numerous close up shots to illustrate the amazing detail to the casting, things like her hands and face.
