Antique French Empire Marble Bronze Mantle Clock Horse

– Gorgeous French Empire bronze and marble mantle clock
– We date this impressive clock to circa 1890 and hope the photos do it some justice
– Bronze is exceptionally well cast, particularly details like the feet and hands to the male figurine
– The bronze statue to the top very dramatic, semi nude male taming the wild horse
– Marble is smooth and chip free, gorgeous hue of salmon pink
– Great find at Les Puces antiques market in Paris

French Bronzer Carriage Clock with Sevres Panels & Key

For sale is a beautiful French Victorian style carriage clock. The clock itself is composed of gilded bronze and has ornate blue and gold painted porcelain panels with beautiful painted scenes featuring flowers and birds by the water. The panel on top of the clock is glass and you can see the works of the clock through this. The clock comes with a key. The carriage clock is offered in great condition.

Dimensions: 5.5cm x 3.8cm x 3.2cm

Carriage clocks were designed in France for traveling in the early-nineteenth century. A carriage clock’s case was typically rectangular and constructed from plain or gilt brass and equipped with a carrying handle. The clocks were often set with glass, though more expensive models featured enamel or porcelain panels.
