For sale is a fabulous cold painted bronze in the shape of a Fox. The fox has a gun over his shoulder and he is holding a dead pheasant in his hand. The fox has great cold painted detail which includes beady yellow eyes and the pheasant also has delicate paint work to it. A superb piece of craftsmanship. Boy Drinking Beer Bronze Stamped Bergman

This is a wonderful cold painted bronze depicting a boy stood by a beer barrel drinking from a beer tankard. There is beautiful cold painted detail to the boy’s clothing, and intricate detail to the boy’s skin and hair. The bronze has a truly wonderful subject. This piece is offered in great condition. The underside of the bronze is marked ‘BERGM’. A fabulous collector’s piece.

Dimensions: 9cm x 10cm

Vienna bronzes are famous and distinguished by their detailed representation of human figures, and all species of animals, ranging from Orientalism, erotic nude figures to life-like birds of prey or comical frogs, pigs, dogs, cats, and insects

Vienna Bronzes have been produced since 1850. There are thousands of different Vienna bronzes. Each bronze separately cast. This means, if you have a bronze boy on a rug, the boy is one piece and the rug is one piece. There is only one individual doing all the casting and filing. The bronzes are sand-casted. This is a procedure that consists of wet sand. They take the original mold, press it into the sand, which leaves an impression. Then the man pours in the hot bronze. He lets it cool and then will hand file each piece. The pieces are then soldered together to create the boy on the rug. Once the bronze is produced, it is carefully hand painted by Artists with oil paint. Many hours of painstaking effort goes into producing one of these fine works of Art.

You are viewing a fantastic pair of bronze art deco style greyhounds sitting on a bronze base. The quality to the pair is amazing as I hope the photos adequately convey.

It’s a real unusual piece full of character and would look outstanding in the hallway as part of an ecelectic and open minded interiors scheme. The bronze has a lovely dark brown nutty patina to it and we were very excited coming across this at the Newark Antique fair.

The stance of the dog really attracted us too with his cocked ears and attentive pose. You can see from the side pictures too the minimal style in which the artist has captured the angularity of the dog in an almost art deco style.

Being bronze this will last forever without rusting and hence is a great investment as it will always appreciate in value. Aside from being aesthetically pleasing and nice to look at they can also become heirlooms.

Bronze is any of several alloys consisting mainly of copper and tin. Neither ancient nor modern bronzes consist only of these two metals. Zinc, lead, and silver were added to bronze alloys by Greek and Roman founders for use in tools, weapons, coins, and objects of art. Zinc, lead, and other metals are occasionally present in modern bronze.
