Chippendale Kidney Bean Desk Writing Table Mahogany
Mahogany Chippendale Style Kidney Shaped Writing Table. Standing on swept legs with boldly carved ball and claw feet and deeply carved acanthus leaves to the top of the leg. Circa 1900 There is an arrangement of 5 Mahogany lined drawers with original handles and locks. The top featuring carved gadrooned moldings and a green leather writing surface (replacement) with gilt and blind tooling. In very good condition. Pair French Louis Phillippe Kidney Side Tables Table
You are viewing a magnificent pair of French Louis Philippe style side tables in mahognay. I hope the photos do this lovely pair some justice, they are certainly better in the flesh. Each table has three drawers so there is ample storage space. Each drawer pulls out smoothly and you can see they are curved at the front echoing the lovely kidney bean shape of the table when seen from above. This is no mean feat to achieve in terms of carpentry.
The tables have been hand crafted from the finest kingwood and feature walnut inlay to the sides and top. The tables also feature gorgeous intricately cast ormolu fittings including the handles, the cartouche to the top of the legs and the foot protectors.
They’re a gorgeous pair and would look great in any setting. They are both offered in perfect condition ready for home use right away. We will ship these anywhere in the world.
