You are viewing a gorgeous kidney bean shaped desk in the English Victorian style and hand crafted from the finest, sumptuous walnut. The desk is covered in a lovely brown tooled leather with gold leaf banding to the perimeter and it is very comfortable to work on making this perfect for your home or office (or home office).

The piece has nine drawers, one of which is a double file drawer. You can only imagine the amount of time and craftmanship that would have gone into a desk like this. The desk is also unusual in that at the back there are two cupboards that open out so there is yet more storage space for all those files and books – you can see this with our photos.

Aesthetically it has a dainty, stylish quality to it but it is also very practical with ample work surface space and the ten brass handled drawers to the front for all your storage needs. The piece is offered in perfect condition and ready for home use right away. The great thing also is that this can be free standing in the middle of a room as the back is great to display.

It is built to last and will serve you for many generations and we are expecting a lot of interest in this fine specimen so get your bids in early. We bought this from a dealer we visit on London’s Camden Passage in Islington.

You are viewing a gorgeous French walnut desk in the French Empire manner. The desk has a lovely kidney bean shape to it accenuated by the burgundy leather writing surface with a gilt perimeter. The table top also has a darker walnut perimeter again highlighting the lovely curves and design to this piece.

It really is a stylish piece and would work equally well in modern or older styles of interior. The piece has intricate ormolu fittings including the the female creature fixtures to the top of the legs, the protectors on the feet and of course the handles to the drawers. There are three drawers to the front allowing ample storage space. This would make a great set up for a home office, there’s plenty of space for your laptop and all your papers.
