The Canonbury Antiques Hertfordshire showroom is well located in the leafy area of Herts – but only 25 minutes north of London by train. Our large showroom / warehouse is packed to the rafters with goods and makes a pleasant way to spend the afternoon. We specialise in classic English dining furniture, art deco, bronze statues and large bronzes, Continental antiques, Asian and French porcelain, architectural goods and all things interiors.
The nearest station to the Canonbury Antiques Herts showroom is Potters Bar which is only 20 minutes north of Kings Cross station so is easily accessible from Central London. You can take a cab from the station or give us a call and we can pick you up.
We also have visitors from all over the world as Heathrow, Luton and Stanstead airports are all within 30 minutes of us. You can make a day out of it as we are also close to many points of interest including St Albans, an ancient market cathedral town with Roman ruins as well as nice shops and dining.
We originally had showrooms in London, including Notting Hill Gate and Church Street NW8 – but as the bricks and mortar side of the business slowed down we decided to up sticks and move to a larger premises closer to where we live. Of course being outside of London the rents are a lot lower so we can fit more of our goods into a larger space. Hence we work with many interior designers as they can find the right goods from our massive range of stock.
As I mentioned earlier we specialise in large dining sets – so we can mix and match various table and chair combinations. So if you want a large Victorian dining table in mahogany with a set of Chippendale chairs around it. Or a Regency pedestal dining table with matching William IV chairs then we are the right people. We also carry an extensive range of farmhouse furniture including lots of refectory tablesrefectory tables and oak kitchen chairs like Windsor chairs and spindlebacks.
