Charles Sykes fue uno sculpturist elaboración de principios del 19 Inglaterra en el siglo cuya obra más famosa es el “Espíritu del Éxtasis” como en el capó adornado de Rolls Royce. También conocido como el ‘Vuelo Lady’ en los Estados Unidos. Skyes era un graduado de la Escuela Real de Artes y fue comisionado por Claude Johnson, entonces director gerente de Rolls Royce, para crear la pieza a emobdy el espíritu y la gracia de la gran coche.
Esta es sin duda el más atractivo y, probablemente, la mascota de automóviles más conocidas en el mundo, que ha adornado los radiadores de automóviles Rolls-Royce desde 1911 y oculta una pasión oculta que hay una gran historia detrás de su creación. Esta mascota maravillosa fue modelado después de una mujer que había hechizante belleza, inteligencia y espíritu – pero no la situación social que podría haber permitido a casarse con el hombre con quien se había enamorado.
